ABOUT OUR HONEY
RAW
Raw honey is honey straight from the comb. It is spun out of the frames and lightly filtered. Raw honey will have wax, propolis, and pollen, all of which have medicinal traits.
CLASSIC HONEY BEARS
Every year we set aside a certain batch of honey to put into the classic honey bear containers. The honey has been filtered down so that no wax remains in the honey, only traces of pollen
PICKING THE BEST
Like most commercial apiaries Danzig Honey Co. takes a sample of each tank of honey while it is being put into barrels. These tests reveal certain characteristics such as color, moisture, and taste. We grade the samples and match them to the floral source from which they came and pick the best ones to keep. The top samples are chosen to be bottled in the classic honey bears or put raw into jars.
